Blockader is a colorful 2D roguelite shooter where a tiny space rat has to survive wave after wave of enemies. Your weapons handle the shooting, leaving you to focus on movement, positioning, and picking upgrades that can keep your build alive when the arena gets crowded.
The battlefield is a small circular planet, so getting surrounded can happen quickly. Enemies approach from different directions while you keep circling, dodge attacks, and let your weapons do the damage. Once a wave is cleared, you get upgrade choices before the next fight begins.
Movement, Health, and Ammo are useful early picks, but stronger abilities can change the way a run develops. Sometimes a damage boost solves a problem. Other times, having better movement gives you the space needed to survive.
Blockader gives you plenty of room to experiment with different builds. Upgrade choices can improve your basic stats or add new effects, while rerolls give you another chance when the cards do not fit your setup.
Outside the current run, Gear, Characters, and the Skill Tree provide permanent progression. You can also discover creatures and other entries through the Collection system as you keep playing.
Do not wait until enemies are already around you before changing direction. Keep some open space nearby and avoid hugging one side of the planet for too long. When choosing upgrades, think about what your build is missing rather than simply grabbing the biggest number. Saving a reroll can also help when the available choices do not match your setup.
Blockader is easy to pick up but becomes much more demanding once enemy numbers rise. The small arena keeps every movement important, while roguelite upgrades give you a reason to try different builds on every run. Keep moving, build around useful upgrades, and see how long you can survive.
